About the project
Each year, around 65 million people die worldwide, leaving approximately 325 million people behind to grieve (5 individuals grieving per person deceased).Grief is a difficult journey, whether the loss was expected or sudden, and one that requires grieving and mourning. Judy’s adult son died when a catastrophic series of events occurred during routine surgery. It was an unnatural ordering of life forcing Judy to adjust to a life altered. As she gathers friends and family to commemorate what would have been her son’s 35th birthday, Judy reflects on her journey and the ways of healing - human connection.
